19 teams of Senior Cycle students from 14 different schools in County Cork took part in the French quiz organised in Presentation Brothers College Cork by the Cork branch of the French Teachers’ Association on Monday 10th February 2020.
Well done to Ms Merrick, Ms O’Brien and Ms Broderick whose students won this year.
In this year’s edition, one of the rounds of questions concerned French-speaking countries in Africa, which echoed the upcoming Africa 2020 Season initiative in France.
We are very grateful to Ms Solène Vilchien (Attachée de coopération pour le français, French Embassy in Ireland), Mr Josselin Le Gall (Honorary Consul of France in Cork), Ms Catherine Gagneux (Honorary Consul of France in Galway), Dr Patrick Crowley and Dr Dónal Hassett (UCC Department of French), Ms Elise Busson (Exam Service Manager, Alliance Française Dublin) and Alliance Française de Cork for providing part of the prizes, and to Mr David Barry, Principal of Presentation Brothers College Cork, for hosting our quiz.
