French films coming to a screen near you!

The IFI has the programme online for the showing of French films to school in Ireland. Check out it out on their website here.

Nov. 17th - Cork FTA November Meeting
CESC, Cork City

Notre prochaine rencontre aura lieu le jeudi 17 novembre au Cork Education Support Centre où Desmond Keane, examinateur en chef adjoint, effectuera de 19h à 20h30, une présentation de la correction des épreuves de français de niveau supérieur du Leaving Certificate.

Nov. 18th - Live, Love, Learn Languages
Trinity Long Room Hub Arts and Humanities Research Institute, Trinity College, Dublin

'Live, Love, Learn Languages' will take place on 18th November 2016, from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm at the Trinity Long Room Hub Arts and Humanities Research Institute, and will be opened by One Voice for Languages patron, Mairead McGuinness, MEP. The evening is devoted to celebrating languages through short inspirational addresses by representatives from education, business and the public.
The event is free of charge but requires a ticket. To book a ticket just follow this Eventbrite link.

"Following on the successful FTA Conference held in Maynooth in October, a small group of Dublin based teachers recently came together with the aim of seeing the Dublin Branch of the FTA reconvene. It was decided to relaunch the Senior Cycle Table Quiz for students of French. Ideally this would be held in a central venue in late January 2017. For this to happen we need the following:

(a) A school willing to host the quiz.

(b) Three or four teachers willing to assist in running the quiz - this would require a few meetings in advance of the quiz night.

This quiz will allow teachers coming together to say what they would like by way of further activities in the Dublin area.
